I just think they were making an example but weren’t smart enough to say… prunes are to plums as raisins are to grapes… just making reference to them looking the same or, perhaps they think most people will go into a store ask for raisins of prunes then while walking out of the store after the store helper ran and told everyone he found the town idiot LOL

Why not just cook on stove for a few minutes to soften the prunes then allow to cool, blend to a pulp & add to the airtight container & place in the refridgerator. Makes sence to me to prepare it in this way
My grandma usually boiled prunes in a little water, then served them on biscuits or toast as one would jam. Basically they are telling you,in the comments of boiling the prunes. Sitting them in the refrigerator for the one week. And blending them this process is a more natural, then your every day jug of prune juice that you buy in the stores!

Prunes are made from plums, well raisins are made from grapes. That is why there is so much confusion about “prunes of raisins” comment. Ignore it and just use prunes. If you buy prunes or use prunes juice watch for added sugar.
Why so much confusion? if you cant follow simple instructions it is very worrying.
