During the plague, four thieves who have access to herbal knowledge planned to use the chaotic situation. Among them, there were some herbalists and perfumers.

They developed a mixture of different herbs, intended to protect them from the plague. They rubbed this mixture on their bodies and probably ingested. In that way, they were immune to the diseases and could easily go to the sick and dying people and steal everything they want.

According to some legends, the thieves were even stealing graves. And because of this, the Four Thieves Remedies are even called Grave Robbers Blends.

Eventually, the thieves did get caught and punished with a death sentence. So, to save their lives, they made a plan to reveal the secret cure that will save the people from the monstrous plague.

One of the legends states that the law enforcement and the thieves made a deal which saved their lives, but other legends claim they served their sentence. Maybe this legend will motivate you to use this aromatherapy blend.
